Current Ranger trim levels continue for another model year without an extensive redesign, but a Ranger Tremor appears to be an addition to the lineup later this year. It could bridge the gap between the standard lineup and the more-expensive Ranger Raptor for buyers interested in additional trail capability.
The lineup features a standard 270-horsepower turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that pairs with a 10-speed automatic. Buyers can select either rear- or four-wheel drive.
The available 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 produces 315 horsepower, giving drivers another 45 horsepower over the standard engine. The V6 is offered exclusively with four-wheel drive. The result is a straightforward choice between the standard four-cylinder and a more powerful V6 with 4WD.
Of course! Its max towing capacity reaches 7,500 pounds with the proper gear. Payload capacity tops out at 1,788 pounds.
The bed provides practical space for larger items as well. According to Car and Driver, a sheet of plywood fits between the wheel wells, eliminating the need to position it above them. An integrated bed step provides a convenient way to reach into the cargo area.
